Trans-form Projects is an annual community participatory activity that engages UK and Indian artists with schools and communities in Ahmedabad. Two weeks of daily educational, arts-based workshops help participants transform waste into carnival and street arts. Led by international and local volunteers, the project began in 2014 and works with 500 street children, orphans and differently abled young people from local communities and schools. Their works culminates in stunning celebratory carnival parades in the centre of Ahmedabad each year.
Founder Director Manuela Benini is working with Britindia to develop the project into a sustainable venture.
In January 2018, Trans-form Projects will be returning to Ahmedabad, India.
