AMBER ARTS VISION

Introduction & Setting
AMBER ARTS is a new binational project in Amber (near Jaipur, the capital of Rajasthan, India) which is being set up to promote the arts, celebrate creative capital, improve the local economy & encourage cultural “trade”. Amber is an ancient town, once the Royal seat. Historically it has been a major focus of artistic exploration with artists and artisans brought in to the royal court. Its economy is largely based on tourist visits to Amber Palace but currently visitors tend to spend only a few hours in the town.

Aims & Coverage
AMBER ARTS fosters creative expression, innovation and excellence in the arts. By elevating and amplifying local creative assets, strongly complimented by international participation through BritIndia, it supports and diversifies the local economy. It encourages new visitors from those with an interest in arts and culture and longer visits from existing visitors. In time, it will bring forward patrons, sponsors and champions to assist future development. The underlying concept is one of “Arts for Development”. The project is inclusive, covering the full span of creative capital – from heritage craft to digital, from miniatures to public art. It comprises a wide range of events – educational, cultural and creativity programming for the visual, performing, design, media arts and allied activities.

Amber Arts adds value by providing a big vision, energy, facilities, resources, connections and a means to collaborate, making possible activity that would not otherwise occur. Amber Arts provides branding, PR/promotion/marketing as well as creating new  networks and connections

Leadership
AMBER ARTS is conceived, curated, organised and promoted by India Inspiration Initiative in partnership with BritIndia. The founders are Edward Dickinson of India Inspiration Initiative and Hi Ching of BritIndia.
